How to Make a Convertible Tuxedo Denim Pant

I love convertible things: clothes, furniture, bags, cars, you name it! They make me feel like I am getting my money’s worth and then some! I love the idea of one item of clothing looking different with a quick, no fuss instant-like change. Have you ever wanted your denim to look different? Well, now you can have three different-looking pants all in one pair. Check out my convertible pants with different tuxedo-like trims.  There are so many cute styles out; I just had to DIY my own pair with different buttons and trims I had in my house. So quick and easy to do, anyone can do it 🙂

I love the tuxedo denim look

It’s a dressy and casual look all at the same time. Here are a few styles I like on the web and used as inspiration for my pair of pants.

Things you will need for your DIY convertible tuxedo-style pants

  1. Pair of jeans (I bought my pair from the thrift store for $4)
  2. Glue gun and glue sticks
  3. Velcro 3/5in wide. I used 4 packs of white velcro
  4. Buttons, Trims or anything you like and can glue down!

Do you love the tuxedo denim look also? Do you have a pair of tuxedo style pants?

  1. These are cute!! Never seen these before but the again I do most my shopping online and not instore but I’d love a pair of these!!

  2. Wearing Tuxedo Denim Pants is a cool idea. I don’t know if it will look good on me but it looks so pretty and fashionable!

  3. This is such a great idea. Instead of buying several pairs of tuxedo pants, you can create your own with your own style. I love the idea of using velcro so you can switch out the “tuxedo” strips.

  4. Wow.. this is so cool! I would never have thought to DIY some jeans like this. I haven’t seen the style around much, but after seeing this post, I am all about trying to make my own pair. Thanks for sharing.
